ahh i see. true also if a med hasnt upgraded there reviver i guess it is almost useless for a max to come back without an engi. thats why my reviver is maxed out also so is my all around healer and just got to level 2 for while in vehicle can heal others.

also i cant remember the number for it but theres 2 versions of the gun i have the platinum one. one of the best upgrades for it since ive had it is the front barrel handle. you can fire off and that baby stays strait and barley if at all raises up. my next upgrade for it is the soft point for higher damage.

also has anyone noticed while in scope mode look to the outside areas of the scope. everything is zoomed also the same in the scope. makes good use for when you have 4x zoom and scanning nearby areas for troops. thumb.gif

I love when you see hackers you report not logging in ever again. I'm gonna start writing down names of hackers and checking their stats from now on. Feels nice when you know one of these scumbags actually got canned. smile.gif

McWiggles23 is the first. Hoping HappyScrappyHeroPup gets banned now. Hate hackers with a passion... Wish there was an easier way to get in touch with Outfit leaders to get these guys kicked from outfits as well.

My break from PS2 failed. Even with all the bugs and hacking going on, its so addictive!

Hi, all. Sorry if this is the wrong thread to post this in - I see that most of the discussion here centers on the actual gameplay - but I have a question that some of you may be able to answer. I just started playing on 3/1, and all I heard before I decided to try the game was what a beast it was to run. It seemed that almost everyone, from guys with Athlon II's and C2D's to guys with massively OC'd i7's, was complaining about the dreadful performance. So, despite the strong specs of my own rig, I went in expecting low framerates and a lot of choppiness. Well, that didn't happen. Running with adaptive Vsync, I rarely saw fps drop below 60, even in large battles. My friends and my two brothers-in-law, whom I dragged into the game with me, all have machines less powerful than mine, but they didn't seem to have anything to complain about either. Was there some patch released just before I jumped in that drastically improved performance? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy it's running so well, I was just a little surprised. I want to recommend it to one more buddy, but he's on an old Athlon 64 x2 5000+ BE, and if it's hopeless for him, I don't want to tell him to take the time to DL it. On the other hand, if they've just done some kind of crazy optimization, I might give him the heads up. Great game, by the way. I've never played anything like it.

Taking on a game like this with a GT 610? I respect your audacity, sir! Truly. Reminds me of when I took on Crysis at medium settings with an 8600GTS 256mb. The people on the Nvidia forum told me I was crazy, but I played on!

They are consistently working on optimization. With the latest Nvidia drivers, combined with their update and ultra settings I can finally stay over 60 FPS in most engagements. However the game still has a long ways to go.

So you're running SLI'd 680's? I'm running a single 670, and it sounds like we're getting about the same level of performance. This would seem to support the common perception that this game is very CPU-bound. Whatever the case, it looks like Sony is doing a great job of streamlining their graphics engine, because my bro-in-law's 2.9Ghz Athlon II x4 and HD 5770 are handling the game with no problem. Kudos, Sony... I'm still doubtful that a proc as old as the 5000+ could handle it though - even when OC'd. I just need to get the dude to upgrade. I need more squad-mates!

I would not go so far as saying "great" job of it. They've gotten closer to being decent. But many of us top end users spent most of beta and the first couple months of release getting blow 30 FPS. It's a consistent work in progress, but they are getting it bit by bit.
