New in today's patch:
-Phoenix damage increased v. vehicles, decreased v. infantry, and rocket effects show at longer range
-Lancer cone of fire removed entirely

oh, this thread hasn't been updated all day.... Well double XP and double SC started about 10 hours ago, bought 2 walmart cards off a clan mate! Not sure what to do with 14k SC now.. (still had some from last sale.)

Edit: to tired to find a link but faction tank body kits have been released as well! Their on sale right now.

I just spent some time in VR testing VS small arms, and want to share my thoughts.

On the range, high accuracy sustained fire counts for a lot. This is what worked best for me against targets that weren't moving, using ADS 100% of the time:


Sniper: Parallax
Silencer is optional. Without it, the projectile is almost hitscan fast. With it, bullet drop is slight and intuitive. Other VS bolt-action rifles become unusable when silenced IMO.

AR: CME, Compensator, Advanced Forward Grip
Optics are interchangeable. 2x is good out to 50 yards. (3.)4x is good to 100 yards but is useless up close.
Recoil is negligible, and accuracy degrades after about 10 sustained shots. Forgiving of lack of trigger discipline, and rewarding for those who use it.

LMG: Polaris, Compensator, Advanced Forward Grip
Surprisingly good. Seriously, you should try this out in VR.

Carbine: Solstice SF, Compensator, Forward Grip
The slightly lower rate of fire is not a drawback, it's a feature. More capable of controlled bursts at long range than any other VS carbine.

I'm getting a retarded amount of experience with 50% subscription, 50% weekly, and double experience. Every vehicle kill is worth 1500-2000xp. Every vehicle assist is worth half that. Every large base capture is 4000xp.

I only subbed this past week, so seeing 50% was very welcome. Maybe it's a perk of buying the 6 month plan, or maybe they just boost subscribers for the weekend? Either way, it's raining certs over here. biggrin.gif

No it's just that boosts, membership and double XP weekend stack.

Double XP weekend = 2x times XP -> 50% Membership boost = 3x times XP -> 50% Bought Boost = 4.5x times XP.

So a 100 XP normal kill is 450 XP for you.

I'm surprised to know the Lancer had COF when ADS, that's lame. I didn't like the Phoenix, but it seems like the lancer is terribad from what I've heard.

It's not anymore (even though I always loved it), after 2 patches it's perfect.
