I really loved this game at first, but now I'm starting to get tired of it. I have a pretty good rig, as you can see below, but the lag in this game is so horrible and I don't mean graphics lag, I mean network lag. I have a 6meg connection so it really shouldn't be a problem, although it could be better I know. I am wondering if this is a server side issue or just my interwebs connection but I'm getting a lot of those 20-30 second catch up delays on the servers lately, and the new lattice system is really annoying, it makes taking bases much harder.

The Lattice system makes it nearly impossible to have fun, they dumbed down the system to funnel new players into a fight. Now, we don't get a choice where to go. Where's the strategy in that?

And since the latest update, I've crashed every single time I play, sometimes immediately.

And your connection isn't the problem. I'm running 70/5, and I get instances where I'm flying, and boom. Few seconds later, an ammo tower magically appears out of nowhere on the death screen. While that may be a system issue, rubber banding and getting shot from behind a hill aren't.

Their servers can't manage the load now that they smooshed together every player into 1 or 2 locations frown.gif
It is killing the connections. Anyone track the bandwidth when fighting in the new battles? I've not yet done it, but I expect the download tick to be a lot higher, maybe even approaching 1 Mb.

I really have to wonder if your overclock (if you have one) just isn't stable. The game hasn't crashed for me since GU02, and that one really weird one where a Lightning started spinning "through" the ground, and dropped my FPS so low that I killed it manually in GU03.

Also, ping your server, and remember, Client side hit detection. Connection speed has absolutely nothing to do with it. If your ping is over 150 (or worse, inconsistent) then your 70/5 is worse off than your average 2/.5 user.

They are skewing the alerts, making it happen in Indar more oftenly, so we can test the lattice system. Welp, I hate it for the same reasons you dislike it, the lattice system killed the strategy. The only people who's happy with it are the ones that used to complain about ghost capping.
I used to hear a lot of people complaining about the VS ghost capping in alerts, but If ghost capping makes the VS win an alert, then why the hell is it wrong? They are winning and I'm losing, they are the the ones doing it right (the VS used to lose the alerts on Connery, ghost capping or not, but this has just changed with the server merge).

And I'm getting tired of ninja rockets that won't render or make a sound.

My ping to Connery (because Helios was merged), is consistently under 100. And nope, no overclock on any of my gear. Pretty sure my Velociraptor is dying, but I'm too stubborn to admit it frown.gif

But we shall get used to it.

Oh man I just had an absolutely amazing 5-hour war with my outfit on our FNO with the new lattice system. This has made the game a blast for me and so awesome it's just a dream come true. I can't wait for it to be implemented to the other 2 continents as well and also the resource revamp!
