Not that hard with those numbers, lol.

This game desperately needs more continents, or at least the removal of empire warpgates.

Fighting over the same Y-shaped area that makes up the front gets old.

On Esamir though I was playing Mr. Transport in the Galaxy, hauling full loads back and forth whenever someone needed a ride. I've now gotten used to how you capture the larger bases: control the teleporters, come in from all sides possible (air drop infantry on the enemy landing pads) and bring down the shields ASAP for your ground vehicles to move in for the kill. There were times where immediately after capturing a base we would see a horde of transports in the air headed our way and we would set up rows of Engineer turrets and tanks defending the boundaries. It was awesome biggrin.gif

I was one of the tanks! It was awesome indeed! biggrin.gif

I'll add you to my PS2 friends list when I get gome smile.gif

Lolol I'm sure you saw my Galaxy then? I kept dropping huge hordes of infantry off over their landing pad. I would fly back and forth between that final base we took (I believe it was the North-center one, perhaps Freyr?) and the warpgate to pick up more recruits. I love flying that thing it's fun to maneuver as it "feels" realistic (I've never flown in real life of course).

Definitely add me. When I'm on with a few friends and we run our own squad, we do damage. I usually like leading an attack-only squad but we defend if we have to when the enemy is giving us problems at the base we just took from them.

That's some very badly balanced population there. It looks like TR/NC players have been moving over to VS master race lol. Almost every night I've played, I've seen a decent balance between all 3 factions, typically 34%/33%/33% or something close to that.

Well, heads up for anyone that uses 3 screens with PS2 and the "Flawless Widescreen" fix (because the FOV is incorrect for 3 screens, and PS2 doesn't natively support it atm): You'll get banned for using it. According to John Smedley, they are banning people for using it (kind of like the whole FXAA injector stuff with BF3), but it can be appealed. You just can't use the program any more. So, I guess for now, I can't play.

Also as an FYI for anyone that is playing this game on a HDD, but has an SSD; there was a HUGE difference in loading times for me between my HDD and SSD. I had the game on the SSD during the beta, and then switched to the HDD for the main game. Loading times are easily cut down by 75%, no joke, running it on the SSD. I used Steam Mover to put it back on my SSD, and glad I did. This game GREATLY benefits from an SSD.

It definitely does. One thing that bugs me is that you're thrown into a loading screen every time you want to respawn at the warpgate. Why? That's really not necessary. The game doesn't have to load anything via a load screen when you're running from point A to point B, what difference does it make then when you're respawning there? It should just... throw you in. Like Battlefield and any other game does

On that one continent it was unbalanced, but the server wide population was pretty close. VS took 2 continents during the day and pops were even then too. When it looked like we might be able to pull off the 3-cap, the TR all focused on taking a single continent before we could do so, and the NC all went to the other continent and tried taking that one from us before we could cap the 3rd.

*edit*
Here we go:

Each faction picked one continent and flooded all their pop into it.

I play on Connery, so far it seems TR are the dominant faction however the NC are the only ones to have controlled all 3 continents. Although I'm fairly certain TR does as well as it does because they're broken all to hell.

Don't the enclave play on that server?

TR generally does have the best DPS.

Yes, The Enclave are on Mattherson.
It really adds to the flavor - a true conflict of ideologies.

The Enclave on one side, with a verbally abusive, iron-fisted leader commanding a large army of weak willed teenage sycophants who cling to Der Leader's every word no matter how poorly he treats them or others.

And Azure Twilight on the other side, with decentralized command structure, a strictly enforced code of honorable behavior, and an emotionally mature, tolerant, and accepting membership.

I wish I knew who the big NC outfits were on Mattherson.

I already have Teamspeak and use it daily, so that's no problem.

I'm watching the video right now, but I don't have the time to join and what not right now, later today though. I think I'd have to play a little PS2 alone for a couple of hours, because it's really a new game to me biggrin.gif

Another question: Who are the members? Mainly OCN members?

AFAIK, I'm the only OCN member in AT, which is mostly made up of Planetside 1 players, and I'd estimate at least 50% of AT is either current or former military.

Two months ago, I bought my first SSD. Worth every penny I spent. I install all my games onto my SSD.
I don't mind dying in PS2 because I respawn fast and quickly get back into the action.

I am very dissapointed when I see people flee from battle to get healed, when a respawn point is not far.
As for me, in many situations, I think it's much faster to die and respawn than to flee, wait for healing, and get re-supplied.
What really upsets me is when the enemy controls the generator room, and my side stays back and does not attempt to re-take the generator room. Sometimes, my engineer has to lead the charge to re-take the generator room, while infantry stays camped in safer areas.

Yeah, being the spearhead is "fun". I like to pull a Heavy, flip on the shield, and just sprint through the defensive lines without slowing down to shoot. It forces the defenders to turn around to shoot at me, giving my teammates coming in behind me a clear shot at the defender's backsides.
