Maybe not stated on the card.

The announcement about the triple SC only came out recently. I would imagine the store cards would have been printed and distributed before that announcement.

The ONLY cards that get the extra 500 are the cards available IN store at Walmart that very clearly say it on the card. Gamestop gets you the NS-11 Platinum rifle, but you will not get the extra 500.

Any redemption on the 21st gets the 3x bonus.

Hey guys, PS1 vet here (Pre-BFR and also cavern combat) do we have an outfit and a spot on the mumble server? I'm looking to get back into the game but none of my friends want to. Used to larger outfits (was in Arch Angels on Emerald)

I get so sentimental thinking of the first game, how you had to manage inventory and carry extra ammo and medkits in the trunk of your vehicle, instead of engies spamming ammopacks and medics throwing res grenades.

I don't see the classes being too rigid. Pretty much everybody but the medic has several roles they can play. And I prefer that classes have a particular set of purposes, because otherwise there is no point in distinguishing between any of them. You might as well get rid of classes altogether and rely solely on loadout customization, which would mean spending more time in the warp gate with your thumb up your....

Have people forgotten that the purpose of classes is to distinguish between character types? Character customization only serves a purpose until you start creating characters that are just a weaker, watered down version of other characters out of your chosen archetype.

What makes you think there isn't a customizable inventory? Because you don't have to play slot jenga anymore, it's not customizable? You cert into suit upgrades which give you more space for particular items, which is pretty much the same thing. Non-medic classes cert into using medkits and what-not, which is just a flat-out accessory, and switching weapon loadouts takes about 5 seconds at the deployment screen, a panel, or a sunderer/galaxy. There's always one of these nearby, unless you're sitting in the far corner of the map. In which case, just /suicide, because you're not doing anyone any favors by chasing lizards in the bushes.

The only significant difference I see in inventory management is that they got rid of the clunky GUI so you don't have to waste time trying to sort everything. Other than that, I think that having less consumables, and no backpacks turning the map into the elephant graveyard of invisible grade-schoolers, is a benefit. You should rely on your squad, not your ability to packrat.

There's just as much strategy to be found, just not enough players smart enough to play strategically this time around. I'm okay with that though, as I really don't have the time to play in an outfit, and the rare periods where I can log in it's so easy to find a functional squad and get rolling on an objective with a purpose in mind. Majority of the time I can literally hot-drop in an area, hit the join squad button, and already know what's going on and where I need to be before I touch down.

It'd be nice to have some personal vehicle storage back I agree. Maybe they'll patch that in. I'd like a gun case for my flash that I can put an extra rifle in for those times when I'm squibbling around indar with no particular purpose, and some random infiltrator starts shooting at me, being even more pointless in his wishing the game were Sniper Elite than I am in enjoying a hilariously awkward ATV simulator. I'd throw down SC for that.

Good points. I kinda enjoyed the clunky and slow gameplay though. Made it feel more rewarding once you got into the action. In PS1, playing rambo and trying to solo meant a 90 second walk back into the action, which kept the community more focused and mature.

It is fun to just jump hills in a Flash though.
Sending a random flash flying into an enemy base over a hilltop by jumping off at the last second before going to chase some oddball person down walking in the other direction is one of my favorite past-times.

Some places in Indar you can jump off at the top of one of the canyons and just let it slide all the way down into the middle of the buildings, then watch everyone scurry around and throw grenades randomly through a scope.

I don't mind slow gameplay, just not in my FPS's. I've spent more hours going through crap in my inventory in RPG's than I have playing FPS's altogether. It's not really my attention span either, though my attention span does suck, it's just that when I get shot the only thing I want to do is click once, maybe twice, and then go back to where I was and spank the ninny that snuck up behind me. PS2 kind of feeds my style of gameplay when it's so easy to find somewhere that someone has parked a sunderer outside a telepad for a bio-dome or some other hotspot, where I can just continue to bum-rush the enemy team and average slightly more kills than deaths, slowly pushing them out with sheer persistence and annoyance.

I just wish my work schedule wasn't so balls'd up that I could find an outfit. I play enough hours, but there is no way I could keep a consistent play schedule.

Speaking of flash earlier I went off of a hill hoping to land on a roof but instead hit the wall and landed upside down immediately exploding right in front of a enemy, the guy was probably very confused what just happened.
