Also for the medics what should I unlock with certs first?

I didn't do this, but I should have. Your first 50 certs should immediately go into the AMS unlock for the Sunderer apc. Those are always needed, and the more people than can pull them when needed, the better.

Now as for Medic (which is my main focus as well) -

1. Get the Medical Applicator tool to at least level 5 (second to last) That should be your priority and it's your lifeblood as a CM (save the final level for after you've certed out other things, but a maxed out tool is ABSOLUTELY worth it.)
2. Get some parts for the GR-22 rifle (Not sure if you have it unlocked or not, I had it automatically from buying the Alpha Squad pack before launch.) So either buy it with Station Cash (triple cash on Friday btw) or stick with the default gun.. So you can be decently effective in combat. I personally run Soft Point Ammo, HS/NV scope, Suppressor, and the Advanced Laser Sight for greatly improved hip fire accuracy.
3. I would reccommend some certs spent in Flak Armor especially since the buff to it.
4. Revive Grenades are beautiful
5. A few in your self heal, Level 5 at least, you don't need to max it.
6. Some say to get the restoration kit, but I find it useless honestly, feel like I wasted some certs on it.
7. This is a personal choice, but I definitely suggest unlocking C4 on the medic. MANY times I've found myself near/behind enemy tanks and vehicles and wished I had C4. Now that I have it unlocked I love it.

Aside from Medic, to be more versatile, consider buying the left Burster arm for the MAX so you can run heavy anti-air when needed. Also consider buying the Hawk and the Crow rocket launchers for anti-air and anti-tank firepower when needed to help the squad/platoon. Another good thing to throw certs in is the Engineer repair tool.

I run as a medic too. Just interested in why you pick flak armor over nanoweave... any particular reason?

Agreed with the HS/HV scope but would suggest a forward grip if vertical recoil on your gun is an issue.

Also agree with the C4, great against armor and MAXs... gives the medic some teeth smile.gif

Flak Armor just got a huge boost, doubling it's protection from explosives, so maxed out it gives 50% reduction in damage, which is brilliant for those assault/defend moments full of grenade spam, Lib shots, and Armor pushes. Nanoweave at max has been shown to give you a MAX benefit of 2-3 bullets extra damage taken, which imo is NOT worth all the certs you spend on it, especially considering how fast Vanu guns fire, as well as TR guns. Being able to take 2-3 extra bullets is meaningless. I've even considered taking the Grenade Bandolier upgrades to carry extra revive nades, but for now Flak Armor is what I roll with.

A forward grip wasn't worth it to me as I can handle vertical recoil rather easily, and a lot of my engagements happen on the move and from the hip, so getting the ALS was more worth it for the hip-fire accuracy boost. And yes, do fully upgrade it, it's worth it. Also note you can turn off the laser (to not give away your position) with 'L' and still get the accuracy boost from it.

Excellent! Was not aware of the Flak armour boost. Will definitely be swapping and maxing that out.

Thanks for the advice!

BTW, I regret to inform you that you now need to hand yourself over for a court-martial for assisting the enemy tongue.gif
