Just tried out this game, seems like a good game.

But it looks like it's very very cpu dependent, in some areas my framerate hovers around 30-40fps frown.gif

I have a Phenom x4 965be, it's at 3.7ghz. GPU usage is around 70%, i have a 6870 which isn't exactly a powerhouse and it's clearly hindered by my cpu.

Any other Phenom users who has quite bad performance? Looks like it's time to jump ship.

I also noticed that many textures looks very poor, like friggin n-64 textures. Is it supposed to be like that?

Me.
Oh how I wish I was in Warframe Closed Beta.
Does the warframe closed beta really exist?

I got an email the other day saying I was in, but the link was dead when I tried it. Tried again today, and it said I needed to register. Tried to register and it said my email was already in use (in poorly worded, typo ridden error messages) and I would need to wait to get a beta key. I was sent a beta key, but there is nowhere on the warframe site to enter it.

As far as I can tell, there is no beta and the game is vaporware?

Lol, the beta does exist, and here is a video to prove it : Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I wasn't a VIP member so I couldn't get in. As a youtube comment suggests, the enemies are so non-threatening to the point that everyone just runs off and does their thing. However what interests me is that you can customize the blade/katana/sword, and other things as well. As long as you can do that using in-game currency, I'd say its pretty good for an F2P.

Today once again. A single NC Sanderer and infantry vs. Vanu air and ground metal. We almost captured a base that way. I mean are we badass or are we badass? Moments like this make me proud to be New Conglomerate. Sissy Vanu and TR hiding behind their shiny armor...

I can say, the standard NC gauss LMG, with the open 4x scope, muzzlebreaker, vertical grip and high velocity ammo and I could snipe Vanu mechs from across the valley on semi auto (with the help of my fellow NC comrades) and close combat against enemy heavies is much faster.

Depends on the server. On mine (Soltech) Vanu are the popular faction. Peak hours they outnumber TR by 5-6% and the NC by 10.

Really? Because the only thing that can kill me before I can turn around is an NC heavy. Light assault troopers are a pain for me too. The headshot damage with your guys' lineup is phenomenal.

Been playing a lot more, and I came to the conclusion that I am madly in love with my minigun. So much so that I bought it it's very own camo that I'll refuse to put on any other gun.

Classy? Of course it is. If you don't think so you must be one of those Space Jesus worshipping freaks or a yellow-spined traitor to the republic.

Really though, the biggest difference I'm seeing in the factions is the type of players it draws. On our server the Vanu have the number advantage, but all of the players are either running around as infiltrators trying to make headshot montages or beetling around in their tanks, shelling random soldiers instead of pushing an objective, until a heavy chases them over the hill. The NC make good pushes, they just don't try hard enough. Once the first sunderer goes down, they all roll up their freedom flags and go home to sulk for the next half an hour or so. On Soltech the TR have been holding The Crown for days now, and the only reason they've been holding it is because a majority of the players will get up on the front line, and a few of them will continually blitzkrieg enemy encampments until they leave. The Vanu have tank and air superiority constantly, and the NC, well... They just give it a single push and then go take some territory from the Vanu because they're distracted with the crown.

Yea, sounds about right. I haven't been on in about 2 weeks, but I play VS on SolTech and there is not much coordination compared to the TR. We always outnumber everyone, but everyone hangs out on whatever continent we've taken (likely Esamir) and so we don't ever get anything done unless my outfit is pushing (likely on Indar).

The overall NC gun is weak compared to it's counterpoints for vanu/terran, and while the default sniper rifle has the ability to 1shot headshot, it isn't easy to hit with unless the enemy is standing still. Usually a TR gets it, since I never see a vanu that isn't in a Magrider (unless he gets blown up out of it, which case he jumps into a scythe or maybe a high-heel wearing maxsuit) but the upgrade path for all ends up with a 1000cert rifle with about the same stats. The TR have the advantage with the higher RoF (like the minichaingun) in that NC have to aim more carefully to line up a slower shot, which is when the TR will turn around and kill us.. because the high rate of fire means something will hit, and when it does, it will throw our aim all over the place. That is my usual death in an infantry clash, I get the jump on a TR, he turns around and kills me. Not so much Vanu, as I really rarely see them outside of Magriders to clash with. You pretty much hit the spot with the NC zerg, our outfit sees them all the time getting pushed from places that we can usually go in and get back, and it's like they took a few shots and gave up. As far as the crown, on our server it is more of a Terran place, we didn't really go for it til the double xp week, as the Connery TR want it so bad for whatever reason. We would just take it and then a force of liek 30-40 would hold it all day til overnight came and we all log off for the night and the Chineese TR zerg would get it back. We weren't able to get it back today, we didn't really try as our outfit was pretty low pop today because of the holiday. Probably grab it back tomorrow or the next day so we can farm the TRG who think that holding the crown is winning the game lol. After the double xp boost, we will prolly not even bother with it, as we can't see any actual strategical value in holding it (easy to defend, so good for xp, but usually whoever holds it takes so much they are warpgated on the rest of the continent) Kind of disappointing, as the TR and Vanu arguing over the crown means less of a fight everywhere else, and I would personally rather have firefights than to cap bases with an enemy force of less than a dozen, kind of boring.

Yep. Nobody cares about the crown unless it's a double XP weekend.

Seems that you are doing well I have a 1055t @ 3.9 Ghz and Crossfire'd 6870's @ 970/1100 and I see drops below 25 FPS in heated battle even in a base where there is nothing going on but a few comrades walking about..
Most of the time my GPU's are @ 70-80% use but there are times where it's 33% for both cards. It does so well in some respects in others it falls real short.
