Lol likewise, however, don't freakin' back up when you're being repaired -___- Most Engineer regulars know not to repair standing in front of a tank and do so from the side or from behind if taking fire.

they should stand on the side to the back, but not behind. that way a tank can hit reverse if taking more fire than can be repaired without running anyone over. standing in front of a tank, well that's just plain asking to be dead.

I want to love this game.. I really do, but I can't seem to play it. I play for 20-30 mins and it always crashes straight to desktop.
Running my sig rig with 32b windows 7, anyone having a similar problem?

Set your game's EXE to launch as admin and disable desktop/visual styles. (Right click > Properties > Compatibility)

Also be sure that all your drivers are up to date, sound drivers have caused a fair number of PS2 issues.

Try joining an outfit that uses TS/Vent/ect, as sometimes the crashes aren't on the client level, we had 2 occasions yesterday on Waterson where within 60s of each other every member of the platoon near Tawrich Tech froze up and crashed but the server never actually came down and we all were able to log back in immediately.

So I've been going back and forth on downloading/installing PS2, but I have a few questions first:

1) I've read some threads/post of people having issues with the Steam downloader, isn't there an offline/standalone installer for the most recent build?

2) How's the performance nowadays?

1) Yes, just download it through planetside2.com. Steam's downloader is problematic because either way you end up with the same launcher, and steam's updater won't make the proper notations to tell the launcher that it has been updated.
2) Pretty solid overall, though there are still plenty of people with poor performance. The game really doesn't like AMD processors.

But the one over at planetside2.com is an online game downloader type thing, isn't there a way to download the complete game installer/offline installer directly from them?

As a dedicated tank driver, sorry to tell you this but if I feel like I need to move to save my tank, I will do so. The tank is more important than your life tongue.gif

If what you're talking about is something called "LaunchPad" that's what you want.
