I like playing esamir with my outfit which has a full platoon every night past 9est to around 2est but during the day indar is much more fun. If you aren't very organized you simply can't cap some stuff in Esamir, last night on NC it took like 3 hours to capture Andvari from the TR, the TR has absolutely no hexs around it aside from there warp gate which doesn't even connect to it. They had a amazing defense at the landing pad and a lack of organized by the NC zerg meant it took FOREVER to cap.

I actually like rushing into the bases, just not dying to unstoppable defenses which happen quite often on esamir.

Just a note if you are getting lots of low framerate issues I recommend going into the planetside 2 directory and changing the rendering distance from 9999 to something like 6500. Also motion blur I notice is a nice dip in performance although it looks pretty good imo, i can't be dropping below 30 in fire fights.

For me when I turned off motion blur, everything felt very choppy. Like it was stuttering. Might have something to do with SLI, I'm not sure, but I can't play without motion blur on. It smooths it out very nicely, and when it dips to around 30fps in big fights, it's not quite as noticeable.

I've been in 4 public squads that formed platoons and changed the entire map in an hour. Easiest way to get in a squad that's actually doing something is to use instant action, and while you're dropping hit Insert. Almost always puts me in a squad that's trying to take the area and has people on voice chat organizing things.

Mhmm.

Had one where we rolled over Esamir despite being outnumbered. Air superiority with enough ground forces to take down Maxx units is devastating.

Course, then a couple NCs showed up that had unlocked dual burster Maxxes... our air superiority disappeared depressingly fast since they were out of range of our infantry and VS snipers can't take down a maxx that is within a kilometer of a engineer....

Lovin the game so far as well, playing VS as i did in the original Planetside.

Love seeing the organization hit sometimes, suddenly seeing a wave of 20+ magriders, or a few sunderers roll in and empty out some 30+ infantry

Haha yeah the tank columns get pretty crazy.. our outfit leader kicks people out of the squads when they don't pick up tanks when he says so.. so we always roll 30 tanks deep at primetime.
So far the single best thing about this game is when my platoon leader calls for a crow barrage (locking rocket launcher) and 30 rockets all fire off at a tank column. Simply amazing!

blackside 81 on the NC side. I think we are by far the most active NC outfit. Around 8pm est we typically have a full platoon all night til 3am. Its run by hexus whos a pretty good damn leader, ask him for a invite if u play onNC
