Wait, so why link to something that's not an Ultrabook? Asus 1215N isn't an ultrabook either. So I'm not quite sure what you're getting at. And then there's the issue of OP looking for a high-res system "preferably 1080p", from the OP. Maybe offer relevant suggestions next time and don't get so defensive.

You're right it isn't 1080p frown.gif The Spectre XT Touchsmart should be out around christmas time apparently, but 15" with a touchscreen is probably gonna be a little pricey. Seems like the best choice right now is the UX31A ZBP on NCIX. Open box is $943.50 compared to the new $1100. Is Open Box the same as Used?

Open Box is a customer return. I'm pretty sure the store does a basic test on the laptop (make sure it turns on etc. - perhaps doing a factory restore as well). But yes, pretty much like new, there should be minimal scratches on it if any, no dings, typically used for less than 30 days.

The Gigabyte U2442V seems like a great ultrabook. GT 640, really impressive. Can't seem to find a price on it or anywhere to buy though :/

$1250+, way out of your price range. And before you ask, I wouldn't expect a price cut on it. I have a feeling it's limited production, or at least they're not shipping a lot of units in North America (how many Gigabyte laptops have you ever seen? They make very few, and this is the first respectable Giga laptop I've seen).

Vaio S 13.3" isn't much heavier at 3.7 pounds - not an ultrabook (nor is the Gigabyte - its ~3.45 pounds, Ultrabook spec is 3.2 pounds last I checked). $1019 with an i5, 640M LE, and 1600x900 screen right now at http://sonystyle.ca . So far I think this is the cheapest, thinnest, lightest system with such graphics and resolution that I've seen, period.

I also think the Sony VAIO S 13" might be good... it's not an ultrabook per se but it's pretty close. If you get the regular version it's 3.8 lbs and has a 1366x768 screen, the premium version is a little lighter and has a 1600x900 screen but that might push it out of your price range. If you get the regular and configure it with the i5-3210M, GT 640M, lowest hard drive, and lowest RAM (4GB) it comes out to $825. Then you can spend another $100 on a 128GB SSD to replace the factory hard drive with and another $25 for 4GB of RAM if you feel you need that. Totals to $950. The only thing you might not like is the 1366x768 screen, but on a 13" screen it should still be quite sharp. I'm confident the 640M LE can handle LoL and SCII, since my 5-year-old Quadro NVS 140M with 128MB of DDR3 can pretty smoothly XD.

Now that Windows 8 is just around the corner, does anyone know when the ZBP touch ultrabooks will be coming? Would it be reasonable to expect them to be released when win8 releases?
