If I post a fake address on a real street it sends me to where that address would be. How is that faking something?

But if a building was there that would be the address, like in so e cities if a building is large the next street number will go from say adress being 12 to 16, because the addresses exist wether a building is there or not. The address is there building or not, there just is no mailing address.
