I plan on purchasing a 7870 and i7 3820. I plan to purchase this 520W Antec 80PLUS PSU'S http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371030



Would it work - Or should I go with a 600W Corsair?? I do plan to overclock.

520 is enough power but I'd personally go for a different PSU. Corsair TX/HX/AX would be good.

So would a 500W Corsair be the equivalent too this 520? CX500?


Remember the 3820 is a 130W CPU.

The 650 won't break the bank, is great quality and should be cheaper than any TX/HX or AX Corsair 600 or 650W smile.gif

Please list your other components, I bet we can trim some fat elsewhere...

I doubt you'll get a TX/HX or AX Corsair PSU for $70!

The CX 500 isn't the equivalent of the NeoECO, it's inferior to it.

The NeoECO will work and if it's all you can afford by all means go with it, otherwise the Capstone 550 suggested by tompsonn would make a far better choice, an excellent one really.
