Been using IE9 since its release. Still venture into Chrome once in a while but I really have had very minimal issues with IE9 at work and at home.

My only complaint about IE9 is that when Folding, it is SLOW AS A PIG for the 64-bit version of IE9. The 32-bit version is ok though.

Wow, I would honestly hope that a fully upgraded IE 9 would protect against more then browsers that where discontinued more then a year ago. But that is the rub right? IE 9 gets full upgrades. Firefox 7 just gets discontinued with no updates and replaced by 8. Chrome 15 does not get updates but replaced by Chrome 16. That is the rub. They are taking a fully patched version and comparing it against a discontinued product.

Now if they only compared the last patch of IE 9/10 to the past patch version of chrome and firefox, I think we would see a different story. That most browsers are good a protecting you from attacks on the web as long as they have current patches.

This. Seamless syncing of my history, bookmarks, etc. across all my devices is amazing.

I may go download IE9 just to try it. The commercial is pretty neat, but I think it may just because I like the song lol.

Chrome is v22 while the test was done on v19

Firefox is v15.0.1 while the test was done on v13

Not surprised at all. NSS Labs does this test every year and not surprisingly, IE wins this test every time. They've been sponsored by Microsoft previous years and claim they're unbiased.

Personally, I couldn't care less about the effectiveness of smartscreen. I prefer that my browser itself is secure enough to not have 0-day exploits rather than to rely on blacklist filters like these. I don't even enable Safe Browsing on either Firefox or Chrome.
