[S|A] Asus looking to buy Asrock - Page 2

I think asus thinks asrock is a threat in the motherboard industry. The reason why they want them
post #12 of 264
I really don't care eitherway.

We already have rivalry between 5 main motherboard makers...

I think going from asus, asrock,EVGA,gigabyte, msi to Asus, evga, gigabyte, and msi would hardly change the competition.

They all offer competition, and innovation with their products, and I don't ever see them leaving the market in the near future smile.gif

Umm wth ?
ASRock stepping up it's game?
Mate i BEG TO DIFFER.....
ASROCK are nothing less than shocking when it comes to compatibility....
Their boards are ridiculous and are an obvious spin off the ASUS line, except using cheap components.

I test boards and components for a living and this whole ASRock has stepped up its game buisness? is just plain rubbish.
Theyre boards are cheap and always will be. Most RAM isn't even compatible with their boards let alone anything above 2200mhz yet they state that they can do 2800mhz+
Weve had 100's of ASRock board Returns from customers complaining about their cheap ASRock boards.
Just because ASRock sell, doesn't mean that theyre products are good.

BTW... One of ASUS' founders is actually the head chairman of ASRock. The company was made on purpose to milk the market and kinda under quote other leading board makers like gigabyte. ASUS and ASRock were always one. ASUS just did the dodgy.
ASRock now think that their boards come close to HIGH-END and are trying to charge premium $.....i'll say from experience and RMA's/Returns etc... that the asrock boards are rubbish.
/rant

EDIT: Show me anyone with an ASRock board that has anything above 2200mhz RAM frequency using the multiplier or XMP..... BET U CANT.
