Sorry but that is not true at all. Materials change.....and therefore so do their weight.

I have two Prodigy builds. One has a Asrock Z77E-ITX. One has an Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe. They are both equal but the Asrock has a MUCH faster boot speed regardless of SSD/HDD and a BIOS that is easily compared to the Asus BIOS. Sure the Asus has the weird DigiVRM Daughterboard for overclocking but the Asrock proves that you do not NEED that for a good overclock.....which to me is excellent quality as well.

Both are of the same quality.

It is about what SUITS YOUR NEEDS....nothing else. I would have bought ANOTHER Asrock Z77E-ITX for my second Prodigy but I got a great deal online for a slightly used Asus which was less than buying a second Asrock.

lol..yall just jump in and read the last few posts and comment.i never said asrock is garbage or putting them down in any way.yall take it how you want to. but asrock is not a high quality board maker. they have 1 or 2 boards that look good but i cannot comment on cause i never tested them.the oc formula looks good. but its not a high quality board!!!!!! and asrock never uses high quality parts like others do..spray painted gold caps. the board will run and you are right.its by what the person wants and needs! as i said before. buy what you want. not what people tell you to buy!

you have no idea. do you know what quality is. quality is a 10 layer pcb.with 4oz of copper.hi-caps and 24phase vrms...all that adds weight cause its quality.please dont comment unless you know what your talking about.i wonder why a bently is so heavy..

LOL! you people are dooming the asus board because of some fan control app??? LOL!!!!! LMAO!!!
I uninstalled it, because I run water cooling, and have here a fan controller for my case and rad fans ... not some over-designed app which never works right wink.gif

BIOS on ASUS is solid though. my MVE seems a ton better than evga z77 ftw. never used an asrock or modern gigabyte, so can't compare ... but asus is pretty cool smile.gif

This has long run its course... to the people that were trying to comment within the past hour, maybe reconsider calling someone "kid" when commenting, that's a very good way to annoy them (and others). 1, you have no idea how old someone actually is unless they tell you, and even then it's probably a lie, and 2, it doesn't matter how old you are as long as you know what you're doing/saying. It's a fault of character to present bad judgment, not a representation (or at least an accurate one) of a person's age/maturity.
