Windows 7 cycle desktop backgrounds broke?

I tried to set Windows 7 to cycle all my desktop backgrounds but for some reason it refuses to change. I have them all selected, and set to change every 10 seconds but the only time that it actually changes it is when I Right click > Next desktop background

It works when I do that so it's just like it's jammed or something

Does anyone know how to get this feature working or know if it's broke/ bugged etc?

Oh, then try this (I'm not guaranteeing that this will work):

 

  1. Open the Start menu, type edit power and press Enter
  2. Click "Change advanced power settings" (or just press Enter because it is pre-selected)
  3. In the little control panel that comes up, expand "Desktop background settings"
  4. Expand "Slide show"
  5. If the setting says "Paused", then change it to "Available"
  6. Click Apply (this is required on this particular control panel)
  7. Close the window that opened when you typed "edit power" and pressed Enter on the Start menu

 

 

If it was set to "Paused" and you changed it to "Available" but yet it's still not working, then reboot.  If it's still not working after that, then there may be other things to try (I'm not sure yet).
