Ooooh! It's gonna be a good Christmas!

I would ditch the chipset cooler. The P5B-D has passive cooling for the North bridge, and the VGA card will most likely make a cooler on the Southbridge a pain in the arse if not impossible.

Also, to save some mula pass on the cables and recylce old ones if you have them.

...yup, gonna be a nice Christmas

ok so i got rid of the OCZ and put in the silencer. got rid of the HR-05 altogether and decided to keep the ZV9 for a GPU cooler since its fan is better then the one on the VF900.

my current computer doesnt have round cables which is something i wanted to help with wire management. no big deal really its not even 10 bucks for those two cables.

i still dont see why i should get the e6300 instead of the e6400? ive never really overclocked before so that whole process will go somewhat slow compared to some of you guys. i might not even push it as far as is possible since im more worried about blowing something up then anything else.

do i need the silverstone fan to put on the Big Typhoon instead of the one on it? do the fans in the Armor need changed or are they pretty decent?

Good choice on the silencer

The only thing the E6400 has over the E6300 is a higher multiplier

As long as you keep the temps down, nothing should go wrong when OCing

The fans the armor comes with should be pretty decent

I would get the Scythe Infinity+FM121 over the Big Typhoon

anything else need changed or is everything good now?

is that video card good or is their a better one for around the same price?

are the next DX10 cards going to be out around the end of February or beginning of March, cause im thinking of maybe getting the evga 7950GT KO with 512mb thats in my wishlist now since it was only $85 more then x1950 PRO i was looking at.

then at the beginning of March use the step up program to get a 8800 GTS for like $185 more if the price stays at what its at now. but if theirs other DX10 cards coming out around then the price might drop some, which would make it even cheaper to upgrade.

anyone think thats a good idea? anyone used the step-up program before? how easy is it?

damn $2500, that could fund one hell of a build.

did you see my post right before yours option? i was thinking of the 8800GTS, by using the step up program, getting a 7950 GT KO now and stepping up to the 8800 in 3 months.

new G80's in February, and if i order my build on December 11th then the 90 days will be up around the end of the first full week of March. so the price should drop on the 8800GTS by then.

anyone think its worth it to spend the extra on the 7950GT KO now and upgrade to the 8800GTS in 3 months.

just don't know if it would be worth it for me to get such a good graphics card since i don't do a whole lot of PC gaming right now, that might change though if i can actually have the games look decent.

o well, decisions decisions

edit: also by going with the evga program im gonna stick with stock cooling on the card so to not worry about screwing up the step up program.
