Logitech X-140 or S220 or...

Thread Starter
I want to get some decent speakers for my tv, but I don't want to spend too much. I have bose companion 2 speakers for watching tv on my monitor. Right now the sound coming out of the integrated speakers on my 1999 sony trinitron is horrible, so I need new speakers. I'd be willing to stretch my budget to $30, but no more.

I enjoy my X-140 thoroughly for its price. However you notice the lack of a center speaker when ever your watching movies or the like.

I actually bought 2 of them lol.

Ok. I just read all the reviews, and I found one comparing them. It said that the s220 had slightly more base, but the x140 is much clearer. I'll be getting the x140.

If that is literally the highest your budget allows, you're not going to get much better than the TV speakers honestly.

Stretch it up AT LEAST until you can get the Creative T3130's. Next up from that would be some B652 bookshelfs + Lepai TA2020 T amp (about $60).
