For not much more money, you can get a much better power supply and it's also modular:

650W modular Rosewill CAPSTONE for $109.99 shipped:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182263

750W modular Rosewill CAPSTONE for $109.99 shipped:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182264

Yep, they are the same price right now!

These are actually top-of-the-line units.  ;)

Also, you can get the 3570K if you learn later that you don't need the HyperThreading of the 3770K.  It would be just as fast and as powerful as the 3770K, but without the HyperThreading that's really only beneficial for certain things (and gaming isn't one of them).

What about the ASUS boards would make them better and worth more money?

Motherboard Comparison:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6296/gigabyte-z77xup4-th-review-thunderbolt-times-two/7

The Rosewill power supply does look nice. I see it has 4 PCI-E connectors instead of 2, is modular, is gold rated, and is made by Super Flower. Counting the rebate on the Corsair it is also $40 more though. Hmm.

For the SSD I want to get the fastest one possible. The Vertex 4 may not be the fastest one but from what I've seen I can pretty confidently say it is faster than the Corsair SSD.

Keep the opinions coming. smile.gif

I am pretty sure the fastest SSD money can buy is the Corsair Neutron GTX SSD
As for the motherboard asrock sould change their name to assrock i had a lot of assrock board over the years none for myself but i have build a lot of computers for other people with assrock boards in them.
So far none of those assrock boards have worked in fact every single one of them was broken in one way or another so now i refuse to touch assrock with a barge pole not even

Where are you getting your information? I'm not saying it's bad but I highly doubt it's the best. Before now I hadn't seen a Corsair SSD recommended.

SSD Benchmark:

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/641?vs=560
In some tests the Corsair Neutron GTX wins in other tests the OCZ Vertex 4 wins
I did not say the Corsair Neutron GTX was the fastest SSD out there but i did say it is the fastest i know

Fair enough. Also there's one in which the Vertex 4 has newer firmware so it does a little better.
