I have an older Shuttle barebone PC here (SN27P2), a whopping AMD 64 4200+ with 2gb ram and even an AGP port. Now recently it failed on me. Whenever I power it on, within a second the PC turns itself off, no matter what I do. Since it is a unique main board and PSU I can't really test any other PSUs that I might haven laying around somewhere. It has an 8pin MB connector and another 6pin MB connector and another 6pin GFX card connector. Now obviously this isn't my main PC but I'd like to make it work again. What are then chances my PSU failed (I bought this PC in 2006). I don't want to shell over a hundred euros for a replacement PSU and it not fixing the problem. Should I just go ahead and buy a replacement PSU?
On a less important note, I have a Geforce 8800GTS AGP. What's the absolute fastest AGP card non the market? (it probably isn't worth upgrading whatsoever)
