Alright, so I have a mumble server for my friends to play games together on, and I recently bought a corsair vengeance 2000 wireless headset. I like to use voice-activated rather than push to talk, but it is SO FREAKING SENSITIVE. Either I have to turn down the mic to the point where it doesn't activate at all, or it picks up my ceiling fan 20 feet away and causes the sound to attenuate every 1/2 second.

I've tried just turning the attenuation off, but then it bothers everyone else on the server who uses it. Is there any way to fix this? I can't find any options in windows 7 for amplification that seem to help, and in mumble amplitude mode has to be turned down so low that it picks up everything so signal to noise is best, but somehow its detecting people talking outside, birds, cars driving by, everything. I even tried taking the foam thing off of an xbox headset and putting it over the end of the boom to help filter the "air" that seems to bother this mic.

Anyone have a suggestion? BTW, one of my friends has the same headset and he has the exact same problem with it and mumble. I really want it to work without PTT, as that is the whole idea of having a wireless headset in the first place, being able to move away from the computer and still use it.
