New built gaming rig, but no display

Hi everybody, I just finished my first gaming rig and the first time I turned it on, my monitor displayed my cpu hd and everything. When I was about to start the setup, I realized i didnt have my keyboard plugged in, so i shut the computer down and went to get a keyboard. When i came back and turned the computer on, the monitor didn't display anything, but everything else in the case was working, I tried over and over again restarting the computer, and nothing is displaying still. I am not sure at all what is wrong seeing how it started up the first time just fine. Another question is am i suppose to hear a anything to see if my computer works, and my MOBO is an Asrock z77 extreme4, and when i turn the computer on the red led lights display an A2. .Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.,

I know this sounds silly but have you checked all the cables? Is everything plugged in 100%?

Have you re-seated the GPU and reset the CMOS?

I have checked all of the cables, and it is not plugged into my gpu because i do not have the right dvi cable yet, its plugged into the dvi slot in the i/o shield in the back of my computer, and I did click the CLR CMOS on the back of my computer but it didnt fix the problem. What i dont understand is why it started before and 10 minutes later, the display is gone.

Ok so when i removed my graphics card, the display showed up. i did notice when i turned hte pc on the graphics card's fans were spinning without the dvi cable plugged into the graphics card, is that why? if i bought the cable and pluged the graphics into it would it start working? and one more question, i am running the setup at the moment and my corsair vengeanve 8gb (2x4) 1600 ddr3 ram sticks are showing up as 1333 whys that?

When the motherboard detects there is a GPU plugged in to the PC, it will send output to the GPU. That's why you got no output. I can almost assure you that once you buy the right video cable it will display.

Also, some motherboards do not support 1600 MHz RAM by default. It's quite easy to adjust though. Just bump the value on the 1333 to 1600.

I have an AsRock z77 extreme 4 says it supports dual channel ddr3 2800+
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z77%20Extreme4/?cat=Memory

Now i really need help. I am in the uefi setup utility and have no idea what to do in it other than boost up the 1333 to 1600, some steps would be awesome
and Thanks for the help so far

Go to BIOS -> OC-Tweaker -> Scroll down about a little more than halfway down the page and find "Load XMP Setting". Click that and there should be something around the lines of "XMP Profile 1". This will automatically set default speeds and timings for your memory.
