Quick question - reservior elevation - Page 2

I tilt the system in various directions allowing the air to flow through the system as i fill it. This helps to prevent air pockets collecting in the reservoirs or elsewhere. The reservoir that I have does a good job of trapping air as it enters. After a few hours of allowing the system to run in different orientations the vast majority of the air is is removed. I have never had a problem with the reservoir at the bottom of the case. Just my experience.

Yeah, what hardrock said. Don't be afraid to get creative with tilting your case as you fill/bleed it, just make sure your pump's always getting water and isn't just sucking on a big air bubble.

Thread Starter
The reservoir mounts on top of the pump, so yeah the pump will be lower.
This is my first attempt at water cooling, hopefully I don't screw it up. I'll likely be putting it at the bottom.

U can see my pump pulls directly out of the Res. It may suck a bit of air during filling but nothing that ever causes a problem. If its stuck spinning with an air bubble just shut it off then turn it back on, the back flow of H20 into the pump will push the air out.

Yeap, pretty much any WC system configuration will require tilting the system around to work air pockets out, some more than others.

My main system is really bad about collecting air in the radiators because of how low the water velocity is through the passages in my Phobya extreme 200 and quad 480, even with series MCP35x pumps.
