How is this tv? I currently have a 26" samsung LE26R87 1080tv, had it for maybe 5 years now. It still a nice tv, but the picture looks lacking. How is the new Samsung ES8000 series tvs? Bit expensive at £1500 mind.

I've seen one in person as i was considering a new tv myself, it is an absolutely beautiful display/design but it's price is a joke. A lot better and larger screens can be had for that kind of money. Your really paying for the smart tv features, which is meaningless if you connect it up to a laptop/pc.

I see

I dont really want smart tv stuff, I just want a decent HDTV that has the best picture plus looks good when watching hd sports. My curent 26" hdtv seems to get motion blur badly when watching sports and fast moving stuff.

I had he 46 and the 55, pq is very nice indeed, sham,e about the input lag in 3d made it unplayable for gaming.
46 played things smooth as butter, 55 had issues with same sources with missing frames and judders, different hardware internally possibly.

Both got returned due to the fact that they was'nt worth the money allthough the pq was extremely good hence the prices.

3d crosstalk was pretty good allthough it does'nt match a passive set for xtalk performance but its acceptable unlike pana's dt50 range that was very poor but had great pq allso.
