i would change your motherboard to the gigabyte-990fxa-ud3 because the 970 chipset AFAIK doesnt support SLI and the 990fx does
but other than that it looks like a solid build man

[edit] nevermind i just read that the 970 chipset does support it but i just didnt see SLI on the motherboard it self so i dont think that particular mobo supports it and i know the 990fx does ...since thats the mobo i have

Thanks for the quick response, after suggesting that mobo I decided to change it to that seeing how its a better model and since I dont have to mess with the PSU I can afford a bit of a upgrade smile.gif

Why do you want to change from a I7 to a 8150 the I7 smokes any amd cpu, If i was you id save the money and be happy, I have a I7 920 DO step im good for awhile your cpu is better than mine at stock clocks.

It would be unwise to pursue an FX processor on a board with a potentially unheatsinked 4+1 phase. Look for a 6+2-8+2 to support an FX-8XXX.
