Just get the official drive and save yourslelf the headache of setting it up, etc. They're not that expensive. I got my 320gb for £50 brand new.

This is the drive that basically everyone recommends, I'm also using it.

Some people spend $10 less and get the 5400 RPM version.

Just make sure you backup your profile and save files to a USB device.

Seeing as how you have a slim you can skip a few steps and it's even quicker.

Though, it does seem the price of the "official" HDD's has dropped significantly.
