I've got a few grubby fingered kids who are always sticking their fingers on my monitor...whats the best way to clean it?

Depends on the screen type. Tft, lcd, led. I use warm soapy water and soft toilet paper. Screen cleaners don't work on my led screens. That's the only thing that works. No marks and no smears

Microfiber gets things like and clean for me... I'm yelling at my monitor at a lot. Ironically I bought some LCD cleaner and I find my self using it for everything BUT my monitors...

Microfiber cloth and distilled water would probably be the absolute safest method.....

With that said.....what I use is 90% isopropyl alcohol and a paper towel....I have a CRT (glass).

I also am a rebel at work too......Windex and a papertowel.
I hear ammonia is bad for LCD screens though.

At home I use a microfiber cloth with special proprietary sauce monitor cleaner for my LCD TV...and I feel like a chump for doing it but at least I didn't have to pay for it.

Warm water and a paper towel.
I leave the monitor on so the screen is warm and the water evaporates leaving no streaks.
