For those very knowledgeable on the subject, maybe take a look and provide feedback or better/newer information:

What I'd change is here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulldozer_%28microarchitecture%29#2nd_Generation_.28Piledriver.29
First bullet point, "Vishera FX-series CPU":
Quote:
AMD says that this 2nd generation FX-series processor will offer up to 20% to 30% better performance

A slide from Hot Chips 2012 is talking about "14%" - IMHO it's better because of two things:
1. this source is newer than [34][35] sources
2. it's closer to truth.

Slide source
(but I'm sure I saw it also somewhere else ...)

Well, I'm going by the Tom's review comparing the Trinity Core's verse Bulldozer FX-series is around 15% faster clock for clock even though Trinity completely lacks any L3 cache, let alone a 8 MB L3 cache. The fastest Vishera model also includes a modest Ghz increase over Zambezi's fastest model. So given those facts, doesn't seem too out of line from at least 20% increase in full load computational speed.

Would you agree?
