Corsair is able to hit2133 @ 1.5v bbecause they run loose timings, and for the Corsair to run = to the Ripjaws Z the voltage will undoubtedly require a big bump.

oh,i see...

I just wanted to make sure you knew ahead of time that you will be lowering the possible maximum overclock of your CPU by going 8x8 instead of 4x8/4x4/4x2. The difference is only a few hundred megahertz, so assuming you aren'teexpecting to be setting world records, you will be perfectly fine. It depends on the exact CPU, but for example you may only be able to run 4.6Ghz instead of4.8Ghz

if the memories harm my cpu oc than i will definitely not use 64gb...heat was no problem but lowering stable oc?thats a deal breaker...is it possible to raise the voltages of other stuff so that the imc that is using high v doesnt harm my oc?

EDIT:i just found out that imc is another name for vtt..,,lol...but by increasing the vtt,i am only increasing temps right?are you talking about the temps that will harm my oc?i actually will be setting up a whole seperate loop only for the cpu...

I honestly don't know the science behind it, I have simply seen it happen multiple times. My guess is that since the IMC has more actual work to do, it must be allocated more resources which has a negative impact on maximum obtainable clock speed. I don't know if that is why or not, and it may not even be an issue for you, but I figured it's better for you to know ahead of time so you can make an educated purchase than to run into trouble down the line.

oh okay...i guess raising the vtt or imc too much causes unstable oc's...thanks for all the help
