WC Coolant or distilled water? - Page 4

ACallander: Yes that's fine remove the kill coil.

Ali Man: I believe it's 250ml of coolant for every 750ml of distilled water.

Alright thanks man, I'll keep that in mind when filling in the ultra blue.

That's for pastels, if you're getting X1, hold on lemme check...

For X1 according to the site:
Quote:
Mayhems X1 is a “Performance” based 250ml Concentrate Coolant, There is enough in the bottle to make 2 Ltrs of Mayhems X1.

http://www.mayhems.co.uk/shop2/x1-coolants/x1-concentrate-250ml.html

You can also buy it premixed from here:

http://www.mayhems.co.uk/shop2/x1-coolants/x1-pre-mix-1ltr.html

or if you're in the US from here
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=59_381_1071

ALSO to make sure we're clear you don't need a kill coil IF you're getting EITHER the PASTEL line or the X1 line, if you're just getting the die you will need a biocide, and they reccomend either PT Nuke or a silver kill coil.

distilled water

If you are like me and mess around with your pc too much, then go with distilled water. Costs dime a gallon and can be used to clearyour loop parts as well. distilled water's cost and performance cant be beat thumb.gif

Colored coolant if you are the set it and forget it kinda crowd. smile.gif

Yep, I've already ordered the UV clear blue from Performance PC's. Now all I gotta see is how much liquid does my loop need and in relation to that I'll need to add the UV blue proportionally.

I used Feser UV blue coolant in by old build with a swiftech pump, swiftech 240 res and clear tubing for 2 years with no issues.

There was some slight staining on the tubing walls when I gutted it all out but that's normal. I recently used Primochill UV green tubing, mayhems UV green concentrate, killcoil and had serious plasticizer issues. It was a mix of the tubing and killcoil that caused the issue so I won't blame it on mayhems stuff.

I will be using Feser UV green tubing and Feser UV green coolant this time around and I expect great results.
