Just a couple quick inquiries.

Just a couple quick inquiries.
  • I am at the understanding that there is minimal performance difference between 1/2" ID and 3/8" ID, is this true?
  • 3/8" ID-5/8" OD will give smaller radial bends then 1/2" ID- 3/4" OD, is this true?
    Also
  • As long as the res. is before the pump (feeding the pump) it makes no difference in what way (angle) you mount the pump?

If I have done my home work I should be good to order everything tonight to finish my build in the next week, wheee.gif so close , so excited. wheee.gif This has been along time planning and doing. band.gif

Alrighty:

1) Yes there is very little difference in performance, it's more for aesthetics than anything else

2) Also yes, and 3/8" 1/2" will give better bends still, but may be more prone to kinking.

3) Yes again, though it's obviously better to have as little angled fittings as possible to keep the flow up.

1. Yes, it is very minimal.

2. In some cases yes, but you should look into anti-kink coils, since almost any tubing will kink at insane angles. I had to use anti-kink coils on the tubing from my RAM to my CPU, and from my 120 rad to my GPU block.

2. You SHOULD have your pump flat so that your waterflow is good, with watercooling your waterflow will GREATLY affect your temperatures, it's like CFM when it comes to air cooling. If you can really avoid getting the pump sitting at an angle, do so. I'm positive you can, no matter what setup. Past that, regarding your loop order being reservoir --> pump --> whatever, yes, that's what it should be. Past that it's all about what is most convenient, what will use the least tubing, and what will look the best. For instance, you can have all your rads at once and then all your blocks and it would not make a difference with temperatures, since the water temp is pretty constant.
