This would be my next suggestion. Share hosting is fine if you are blogging or anything on a small scale, but if it the server gets hacked, all sites are affected. This actually happened to GoDaddy a few weeks ago. At least go Virtual Private Server (VPS) if you want control over security and software installations and such.
