if anyone wants a scroll of resurrection just pm me with ur email. it will allow you to play your non-active account for free for 15 or 30 days... can't remember. there are some specifications per blizzard; the account has to be inactive since ??? and such but I can't remember atm and I battle.net is blocked at work.

I started playing again at MoP and I gotta say I do like it... I didn't think I would like the new way talents are being done but really... it's nice. you can pick a certain ability individually regardless of spec. hard to explain and I'm sidetracked by work... or is this the sidetrack??? anyways it's worth revisiting imho

The scroll allows you to play on a Battle.net account that has been inactive since March 2012. You get a level 80 of your choosing with green gear in the spec that you choose, as well as 100g, all flying skills with a flying mount too.

I thought about coming back to check out the new xpac. I guess sometime between when I quit 4-5 years ago and now my account was hacked. It shows as being banned when I try to log in. Blizz CS wasn't much help. I'd have to buy the game all the previous xpacs etc all over again to get back into it.

if you got hacked and banned(or got banned because you were doing something you shouldn't have been doing) you can buy them all for about $50-60 including mop. The deals are out there. perfect time to start over with a monk if you don't have an acct, banned, or coming back etc.

or blizz should give you your account back and unban it

The expansions are supposed to be a 1 time fee, back before they had the battle.net accounts way too many accounts got hacked and stayed banned. Expansions should not have to be re-bought. Is that $50-$60 is that through blizzard? because I thought their new expansion alone was $50-$60?

as a new account you are considered a new player... why would you think expansions shouldn't have to be rebought? If you get banned on origin and lose your bf3 and expacs or any steam game for that matter and you want to play? well you got to buy it all again.

It's like losing your car in a wreck and going well I already owned one, I shouldn't have to buy another

I just played casually. Never used any cheats or w/e people use in WoW. I'm guessing it got hacked then banned for gold seller spamming or something maybe. I quit just after they started changing accounts over to battle.net. I don't know if they purge accounts after a certain amount of time or what. I know other MMOs have in the past. Either way they didn't seem to want to do anything but give me copy/pasted responses about how to reset my password. After about 8 or 9 emails to them I just said screw it. Don't get me wrong, if I was a cheat in games like this and then got banned I could totally see sucking it up and buying everything all over again.

The fact that a player gets hacked when they arent playing the game? I would consider that an ENTIRELY different situation. It is based on blizzards old and bad security. No new account should have to be created. It is the same person of the account. It is basically like someone stealing your credit card and buying a brand new TV. You will not be penalized for it.

ok so this then

Some one stole my car. I already owned one, so I shouldn't have to buy another.

If your account got stolen pre-battle.net days you either had keyloggers or went to sites you weren't supposed to and didn't take necessary precautions needed to secure not only your wow account, but any thing that is on your computer including bank, credit cards etc. No one broke into blizzard and said LET ME HAVE ALL ACCOUNTS. No it just doesn't work like that, all the hacks were from keyloggers and phising emails that people thought were from blizz but weren't.

Was there a recent expansion? Meaning a lot of lower level characters and returning population?

Hmm maybe I should it it a try...I also only played the game for a couple months many years ago, but I have been bored near to tears lately with gaming. It would be awesome if I could get into a MMO again.

The only thing that turns me off from playing a long standing MMO is that so many players have far too much money and inflation kills the markets. So if a good item comes up for sale they can start dropping ridiculous amounts of money on them making so even players that have played for a year don't have a chance.

Won't work, I've tried it. They will tell you it will be "escalated" but you never get a single email from Blizzard.

I tried that but all this was right when D3 came out and the wait was hours. I pretty much forgot about it til here recently with the new xpac. I'll probably try it again just to see if they will do anything. If they do I'll probably buy the new xpac and see how it goes.

I got hacked at the 'come back to wow for 2 weeks free' just before cata. I hadn't had a sub for a while before that and somehow they got my account info and were able to use my 2 free weeks for gold farming. I talked to a gm and was able to get everything back though... some people have a difficult time with gm's when their account gets banned and others get luck (I was lucky). funny thing is the person who was using my account was farming and selling ore. so when I logged in there was about 30k gold and a ton or ore which I mailed off to a friend before they reset my account. so I got a little bonus when I came back lol

I HIGHLY recommend a mobile authenticator. it saves ur account like no other! and it's free

I have an authenticator for D3 ( which I haven't played in about 2 months + is on a new battle.net account) since it was a requirement to sell in the RMAH. I got tired of it but made enough off RMAH to cover the game cost +. I think the problem was I didn't find out about this til just a few months ago and I quit playing 4-5 years ago. I'm thinking between that time maybe they purged old/ banned accounts. I've played MMO/ lot of other online games since 1999 and never had an account security issue. Maybe I'll get around to calling them this week and see how it goes. It couldn't hurt.

that is possible... who knows if any old info would still be there. when you log into battle.net you can go to account and it will list all the games you own (of theirs). you can click on wow if you have one and it should say 'frozen' or 'locked' i assume, which would point to the possibility of being able to recover. however if you just have 'starter edition' (the free to play to lvl 20) then it isn't the game you had purchased. I would assume since this is a expac launch their customer service will probably be fairly busy, which may work to your advantage if you get a gm that will override your ban quickly because he's so busy (optimistic thinking!).

I'm glad MoP came out when it did b/c I was bored. D3 was already extremely boring and I was sick of waiting for armored kill for BF3 (which I have forgotten to play since MoP came out) so this is good... my good ole wow'crack... feels good in the veins!

I have done it before to recover an old account that was sold off. friends have too but they have to send an email with their ID and cdkey scans
