[NZXT] NZXT Phantom, Evolved (Updated with reviews) - Page 21

Id still put my money on 219 being the price.. If it has a built in hue and all these cool features that make it better than the 810... Than they will charge more..

810 in the SE versions go fro $170 ish on the egg.. $219 wouldnt be much of a stretch

But hey.. Id love to see the new phantom priced low! Who wouldnt!?

Regardless of the price...

Ive been throwing money at my screen all week..

When will it show up on my door step?

Oh cool, was interested in these cases but they didn't quite fit the budget.
I know a friend who recently brought one, he's gonna be pretty upset that this happened lol.
All the time when i buy something that's been out for a while a couple of weeks or months later a new or better version comes out, looks like this is now acting on my friends.

That's the world of tech, for you. Happens all the time. The minute you buy something, it's obsolete, it seems. But then, it's also fun seeing all the new stuff come out and the progress made in the industry.

For the switch 810, 8 (not sure), 1 (designed in 2011), and 0 for being the first in the series. Should a successor be made, it could be 831 or something like that. the new phantom is not in the 600 range.

thanks for that. i guess the 8 is for the series within the series. lets say there would be a switch 830 who knows.

You're on to something, Jim!

so you knew something huh... anyway, how much did you have in the making of the evolve?
(and also, what goes in the process of designing a case in NZXT?)

oh god don't tell me about that. when i was making my build i chose the WD caviar blue 1TB and the HD 7950 950Mhz Ed. a week and a half later the WD caviar red 1 tb showed up for the same price and the cheapest 670 was lowere to almost the same price. (RAGE!!!)

and now, the CM Storm Trooper Windowed shoed up (aka competition) and i was considering selling my case to a friend and going on either the trooper or the switch (haven't decided yet) and now you show up with your brand new revolutionary case and i have no idea what to do. (more rage)

(best wishes, a humble Enthusiast)

i understand the 21 part, i.e. the 2 means the year 2012 and the 1 means that its number 2 in the series (0 is first and it originally unofficially belonged to the Phantom or the Phantom 410) but the first one i'm iffy about him. i think it could be any number, maybe it's related to how well it sounds. like the "Switch Eight Ten" sounds well and the "Phantom Four Ten" too but "Phantom One Twenty One" doesn't roll off your tongue as well (at least IMO )
