[NZXT] NZXT Phantom, Evolved (Updated with reviews) - Page 55

I gotta agree with the price being too high, at 200$ it'd probably be about perfectly priced imo.

What crap. I love the Phantom series look and feel. But this...
what is with the front feet.
Side panel fan blocks view, full window would have been better.
Faulty wiring and hdd mounting.
That door will break, I can see it.
650mm height for bad placement of USB ports and controls.
$250 really. Switch 810 is $180, and least its a full window side panel. Also for $30 more can get the 800D.

Sorry NZXT, you should have shown this case, before you surprised it on all.
I would not release this case till your designers learn to properly understand how to build one.
I doubt these will sell much here. Already bad reviews and comments on my side going.

Not happy with ya, NZXT.

Called the Hue feature.

Not bad, but I still think I'd go with the Switch 810 over it.

Aesthetically, this case appeals to me a lot more than the 810...never could get into its front panel. Love the Hue integration, behavior similar to retail Hue? Only thing I don't really like is the side panel, but if the 810 panel fits, that problem is solved. Think I might be buying a new case

Got to say I'm slightly disappointed. IMO the Switch 810 is still the king of the NZXT cases. This new phantom has some design choices that I just don't like. For example its has filters in most places but also has a mesh side where dust can get in. Not good. The flimsy front door and cheap HDD brackets are also just a turn off. Price is also big concerns as this is not good enough to compete head on with corsairs 800D and people with a tight budget will probably rather go for the old phantom.

I love it. I do dislike the 250$ price tag as I feel like 200$ would have been suitable for what you get. I bought my phantom for $140, add in $40 for the led strip and side window panel from NZXT and I am at $180. Even the switch is $180, 200 if you wanna throw in led strips or 210 with the HUE controller. So in that sense I believe it is just a tad over priced. However, if it is still $250 by the time I am in the market to buy a new case and its something I want then I will buy it. Why? Because NZXT has some of the best customer service EVER. Hands down, you tell them what you need and you get it. End of story.

Looks great guys, keep up the good work smile.gifthumb.gif

Edit: Just wanted to comment on the mesh. As an original phantom owner I can attest that the mesh does in fact stop some dust from entering. Especially stuff like cat hair etc. Ive never had a problem with dust and the old phantom is lacking all of those dust filters save for the ones for the fans.
