Looking at the reviews posted, the koolance does offer a better flow.

I'm not sure what the deal is with the 2nd aquagfrx card. The heatkiller is a good block too.

With dazmode, im at $150 with shipping, i'll call performaance-pcs tomorrow and see what the difference is between the aquagfrx cards, I might just end up getting the heatkiller if the aquagfrx is going to be back-ordered.

The new Alphacool looks top notch too. Iirc, it's free shipping and takes 3 days to get to Cali.

for 7970 block go Koolance or watercool (heatkiller) blocks, they are the top blocks for the 7970.. dont bother for the XSPC, that one doesnt actively cool the VRM.

Looking at the top 3, there are very close with temps and flow.

Actually the best block is the ek because of its flow, especially in extreme drops where it will pay dividends in qua card loops. Bundy rates things on a different value metric than I would.

Hmm, I would stick to the specific backplate of each brand you use to be safe. That said you could easily modify one to work with the other etc.

Btw, when I mentioned the ek block, notice how I didn't recommend you actually get one. thumb.gif
