Like Ldwg commented; your 580 will do fine in just about any game with physx on. However if you want to try and squeeze a little bit more out of your system and (if you figure out if its something you like) you can see the extra perks it gives you in gaming. Theres only a few games out there that could bog down a 580 simply because of full physx utilization; one title being mafia II

Freak; unfortunately the 200 series cards are worse off than lets say the 9xxx series up til I think its the 280/285 but I cant say specifically from exp or data that I have seen. If you already possess the card then by all mean give a try and see for yourself. Otherwise keep reading...

Generally I like to say for a thumb rule for physx is that you want your physx card to be at least half as powerful as your primary gpu solution (be it SLI or single card) You would want to try to find at least a 460 768mb. Due to lesser memory to work with it can achieve higher core/memory OC's, in fact if my memory serves me correctly they often benched higher than the 1GB brethren. See if you can locate a MSI 460, they have the best aftermarket coolers from what I know. Also it would be better on power than the 275 I bet, probably cooler off too. After all you dont want a card to just add heat dump and extra wattage; it'd be a waste.

Not to mention there pretty damn cheap these days...like around 70-80 shipped these days out of the marketplace
