Please help, Ive narrowed it down to 4 Coolers - Page 3

Okay so now Its beweteen the Havik 140 and the Thermalright Macho!!!!!!!!!!

Any clearance issues with the MACHO? the havik would fit guaranteed but the macho has better fan clips that wont dry up and break off as well being quieter!
The True Spirit 140 performs a bit better than the Macho.
The Havik is roughly on par with the TS140, probably slightly better. It got better build quality and two fans. The TS140 on the other hand comes with the better fan and fan clips. Both coolers (Macho/TS140) clear all four RAM Slots on your Board, im not so sure about the Havik, since it's slightly wider.

Why not a Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E? or Extreme?

http://www.thermalright.com/products/?act=data&id=189&cat_id=27,37,11,35,36,39,38,34

quite possibly the quietest per cooling performance CPU cooler.

Remember i have a board where 4 ram slots sit to the right of the cooler the io panel is on the left My dims work like this Corsair Vengeance LP, Corsair Vengeance LP, Corsair Vengeance HP, Corsair Vengeance HP
Ill upload an image

If i can get a Phatecks PE in here then I will... But here is what I have to work with so were all on the same page

you can fit the pantheks easily there.. there is room for RAM under the first slot, you can move the fan up/down as you want..

i have that cooler and my the first ram slot a kingston HyperX.. it fits like nothing thumb.gif

OR !!!

get a Thermalright Archon.. such an amazing single tower cooler.. it can beat anything in its class and still "fight" with the big boys

true, i'm testing a whole bunch of coolers at the moment, and the archon is actually on par with the Silver Arrow SBE and one °C behind the original Silver Arrow (all coolers tested with 2x TY-141)...
and 1°C doesnt matter at all in 99,9% of cases.
The TS140 and Havik 140 are not too far behind either though and they are considerably cheaper.

If money is no issue then i'd get the Archon SB-E with 2x TY-141

the front fan its all the way down, in fact the lower part of the blades are no pushing air across the heatsink, at least not the last half inch (little less)

but you would need to put the front fan really high to fit some HP Vengeance under it.

I have mine pushed down flush with the top of the towers as well (super low profile memory), seems to help cool off my VRM and NB a little bit. Love the TC14PE 2cents.gif
