Aquastream Flow Sensor / Poweradjust/ Aquaero 5 XT -Help Needed

Greetings, I have a couple questions regarding my Aquastream setup.

1. Where is the ideal location in a loop for the flow sensor to go? i.e immediatly after the pump, at the end of the loop prior to return to the res, or somewhere in the middle? (flow sensor is the Aquastream 53068)

2. Is there any point in having more then one flow sensor in a single loop? i.e would the flowrate be any different measured at different places within a single loop? (accidentaly ordered 2 Aquastream 53068 flow sensors)

3. I have an Aquaeros 5XT and one Power Adjust Ultra, is this sufficient to control/power my swiftech MPC35x2 and 5 Noiseblocker 2400rpm .32amp fans or are more Poweradjusts needed?

To simplify is the flow rate going to be the same at the beginning of my loop (after the pump) as it would be say at the end of my loop (after MB,CPU, SLI GPU Blocks)?

Unless you've got a split loop going on, you'll get precisely the same flow rate around the whole loop. Put the flow sensor wherever it's most convenient!

As far as the pump and the fans, that should be good, especially if you have the heat sink or the water block for the PCB.

I prefer using PWM fans on a splitter for rad fans, but I think i'm weird in that respect.

the MCP35(X2) are PWM pumps so you can attach those to fan output 4, which can be configured to run in pwm mode. Only attach the PWM lead of course, the power itself should come from your PSU (I'm pretty sure that pump comes with separate wires for that purpose)

the 5 Noiseblockers can be distributed in any way you see fit over the remaining 3 fan outputs; they're very efficient fans after all smile.gif

so just the Aquaero should be enough; no need for any Poweradjust !

Thought I would add a picture of what I am building.


I am currently using EK Blocks for my 2 GTX690's, R4E mobo and CPU.
Radiators are HWL Black Ice GTX 360 and a 240 with 5 Noiseblocker 2400rpm fans.
Pump is a Swiftech MCP35X2
Fittings are Monsoon
Fluid will be Ice Dragon Nanofluid (White)
Awaiting clear SLI Bridge to finish loop
Aquaero 5 XT Fan Controller

I welcome any advice, critcism, ideas on how to make the most out of my equipment
*Under construction will be sleeving the ugly wires coming out of the pump*

n0n44m I have an AQ5 LT and a Power Adjust 2 connected via Aquabus and I have a D5 Pump connected to the PA2. I do not see how to control it in the Aquasuite 2012. I did originally connect the PA2 alone via USB and set an unique address for it. Then connected it to the Aquaro via the High Speed Aquabus (3 pin cable).

But I do not see anywhere in the Aquasuite how to control it.

Any suggestions ?

Do you have the d5 connected via a PWM connector to the PA2?

I would just try using the PWM connector on the LT to simplify things. Then just go into aquasuite and change the curve controller so that it ramps your pump dependent on whatever source you like.

I finally figured it out. I labeled the pump as a fan so I totally messed my self up and took me a little while to step through each item on the controller and realized what I had done. It was there all along. Works just fine. Thanks.
