Still showing yellow/gold highlights on the UD5H. Looking like I might be doing some new sleeving to match
I've been wanting to redo my 24 pin anyway since I moved the psu up top.

I have been putting all my effort lately into finishing up my shop. All the insulation is up, and the ceiling and walls are covered except for one section where I will have to turn off power and move some conduit. Very glad to finish as the heat has been killer. I did run the little AC unit yesterday even though I was outside a lot using the tablesaw.
No more itchy insulation! Yay! thumb.gif
Sometime in the next few days I'll go to Lowes and look for some more storage racks for my power tools, and pick up some metal for the light panel frame.

In anticipation of the Z87 boards rolling out I ordered some supplies from Nils. biggrin.gif
10m Shade 19
10m White
10m Vanilla Sands #17
10m Yellow MK II
10m Titanium Grey MK II
1m White shrink

Not sure what combo I'll actually use, probably mostly white with the bolder colors for highlights. I'll know better down the road when I actually have a new board in hand. I have a few meters of white and black leftover from previous as well as Aquamarine and B Magic, so I'll have a full compliment of colors to choose from. When it comes time I'll be asking for feedback for colors to compliment the board and all this copper!
Likely I'll make all the sensor connections Ti Grey in line with what I've been doing in the past.

Soon I'll check my supply of pins and order what I need probably from Newark or Mouser. I think I'm good on fan pins as I recently ordered some male and female for my sleeving kit.
Thinking of maybe getting some white connectors for the SeaSonic as well, I've been wanting to do that for a while. I tried painting some and they look "OK" but the pure white ones I think will look better.

Still no word from Shoggy on my Aquaero Pro. Hoping it will get sent out this week!

Oh yeah, I forgot I recently ordered a bunch of shrink for "shrinkless" sleeving-I have over 40 foot so I think I'm good. thumb.gif

It's always fun to order new parts, but I enjoy the build process more I guess. Just a tinkerer by nature, I like to keep things functional but I'm not afraid to tear it all apart and change things around.

Ordered all white connectors for the SeaSonic psu from Newark........and some more minifit jr pins just in case. thumb.gif
I've wanted the white connectors for a while now....don't like the black ones or the natural ones much.
I used the parts list for connectors posted here at OCN in the sleeving section to make links to the white SeaSonic connectors a while back, so that all I had to do was search for the Molex parts on Newark and add 'em to the basket.

All the fittings + 100 minifit jr pins + shipping came to $31.......to clarify, this the 24/18/10 connectors for the ATX, 6x 6 pin for peripherials, 3x 12 pin connectors for gpu's.

Here's a random image of the white connectors.

White dose look nice and good luck to you with it. I think the black connectors are nice in a white case adds some color I think.

Got my piece of mirror acrylic in.
The LED strip is strung out on top of the mirror acrylic and a piece of the prismatic diffuser panel laying on top. The protective cover is still on the mirror acrylic so there's not much reflection.

Here is a piece of semi-translucent acrylic sitting on top of the diffuser panel.

I wouldn't mind keeping the effect of the prismatic diffuser panel, but it's too flimsy. You can see that once it's sandwiched between acrylic sheets the effect is lost.

But I'll continue to experiment.
Tomorrow I'll get up to Lowes and hunt down some aluminum U channel.

I took it all apart, and here it is partially back together. Parts scattered everywhere. biggrin.gif
Plan #89 is to go with two pedestals and three radiators, with either the DVD burner or the FC8 in the top pedestal. I have the RX240 test fitted in the top pedestal. Should leave plenty of room for a bay device and maybe a pump. The 2xUT60's will go in the bottom pedestal, and the three rads will provide plenty of cooling.
Change is good. wink.gif

Going to cut the U channel for the light panel today and try to get that part finished.
