LOL. Why should he care what I do with my case? I have noticed some people freak out about modding cases. Never really understood that, it's a computer case not the Mona Lisa. rolleyes.gif
But actually I did take the case apart. I drilled enough holes to get my jigsaw blade in, and sawed out the case and the pedestal and finished off with a file.
Will make a good cable pass through slot methinks, and it's pretty much hidden on the side. I think they should put a slot over there from the factory and just put a cover on it. That way it's easy to pass cables down to a pedestal.

yah. that part - like someone who faints at the sight of blood. Bart would shriek at the sight of such a hole, he's reacting to it as if it were the hole he were to make in his own case. Some kind of vicarious experience ...

They are places I wished they would put covered cableways in these cases so that you could make it look neater. Like you said just remove if you need to use and leave in place if you don't need to use it.

What you mean "like chris"? lol. You're the one that copied his build log. tongue.gif
But yeah, Chris has had some good ideas, for sure. thumb.gif

I was unsuccessful finding white 6 pin pcie connectors anywhere but modDIY so I went ahead and ordered them and a few others.

My Aquaero Pro isn't fixed yet, I guess they've been backed up with repairs. Hoping it gets fixed next week for sure.

I made another order with Nils, since I found I'm almost out of SATA sleeve, and at the same time I got my last order from him. 8 days, that's the quickest I've ever got anything from MDPC.

Yellow, Vanilla Sands, White, Shade 19, Ti Gray.

Hi mandrix fil up the storage again. good work. Don a good job on your case.
I was practising on a piece of acrylic with the dremel. Ha pieces ended in the garbage can. tomorrow i first cut the opaal plate. then i try the light to see if i need to engrave the clear plate if so i need a few weeks because only the handwork is precise. Thinking also removing the front bottom strip with a 3 cm high version so it covers the acrylic at the front.

Wat mark sata cables did you use. I thought the Akasa where the long ones. biggrin.gif

You could probably engrave the clear acrylic by hand with a sharp tool and a guide.

All the Akasa cables were 50cm, which is nowhere near long enough since I moved the drive cage. I needed 30-36" cables but there are few made that size so I ended up getting 1m cables. The ones I got are Rosewill, they are the house brand for Newegg and are exactly like the Akasa slim cables.
