It's called "priorities" & "experience"..... also known as "Beats heck outta me". lol.wink.gif Sometimes it's better to step back and not get aggravated. I've already installed drivers, verified bios settings, reflashed the bios, etc, and still no video when card is in x16 slot.
I've also tried both bios on the board with no change.
My other motherboard did the same thing and I had to send it to Gigabyte for repairs. But since I have an extra board it's not super important, although it does tick me off. mad.gif

The problem is weird, I'll grant you that. But I'll be changing boards within a week anyway, so I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

BTW still getting decent FPS in 3DMark11.

Believe me when I say I've always been driven to finish projects, especially unpleasant ones as quickly as possible.
Since I retired I've learned to take it a little easier, everything doesn't have to be fixed "right this second". My wife used to tell me to slow down, it will all be there tomorrow and I shouldn't kill myself. Well finally I learned to take her advice.

Anyway, I got the card working in the top slot. For now there must also be a card in the second slot, and I don't know what that is all about, but I'm just very glad to know my new 7950 works as it should. That takes precedence over the motherboard for me, and I'm still working to find out just what the problem is. thumb.gif

I know this sounds stupid and you probably already tried this but try taking the bios battery out for 30 min. Its worth a shot.

No, Ragsters it doesn't sound stupid at all. Some bios' are hard to clear without removing all the juice. This board has never been that way, though, plus I flashed a brand new beta bios today.
Appreciate the input. thumb.gif

Goodies are here......

....and the storm is on it's way. Hopefully the winds won't get any higher than 60mph.

Choices are red, blue, black. What would you pick? But, it's not all about color.
Jury is still out on the gold accents. They look better in person, but it seems to throw the camera off.

Looks OK to me. I never had a board with gold on it before.

Yep. Same height as the old ram. They just made the heat spreaders different on the Predator.

I didn't have any good light but I snapped a quick pic:

Later on I will try polishing the copper tubing and see if I can get the camera to do better on color. It just doesn't like the gold, seems to throw everything off.
Meanwhile I'm still leak testing, had a leak at almost every copper joint but think I got it squared away.
Got all the wiring to hook up yet, that is going to take a long time. I may have to make some up, maybe cobble some stuff together just to get running then come back and neaten everything up.
