Alright then. I ordered 2x sets of small B magic sleeve from Nils. Didn't really want anything else, but with the 19 Euro minimum I went ahead and ordered some Ti Grey MKII SATA sleeve for possible future use.
This will give me enough sleeve to redo my 24 pin and my gpu's. So mark it down somewhere that eventually the 24 pin/gpu's will be resleeved!
I seem to have a pretty stable 4.5 overclock going now. The thing that kept tripping me up was AVX 12K FFT's. I could easily pass pretty much anything else at 1.25 vcore, but for those pesky 12K's I had to bump to 1.26 and push the Vring up a little to 1.15v.
A little disappointing since when I first fired the new cpu/board up I could get 4.6 just by setting a 1.25 vcore and Extreme LLC. But alas, further testing unveiled those pesky 12k fft's. Don't know what difference it makes but to me either it's stable or it ain't!
Highest core temp I've seen is 86 while stress testing....otherwise the cores run 27-35c under normal use. Now I'm starting to consider delidding again........I'll decide after some more testing to see how good my cpu is otherwise.
Cooling capacity is still holding out pretty good. I haven't quite hit a 2c Air/Water delta yet! I've been ramping the fans up at around 1.6c up to maxed at 2c so they haven't been running wide open yet. I think I'll increase the slope a little and see if I can still stay below a 2c delta with less fan noise. When I had the 2xBlack Ice 480's in the loop I basically never cranked the fans up much at all....that makes me want to put them back in.
But even if I did add that "old" pedestal back in so as to return to the 4x480's it would stay on the very bottom. There is just something cool about having a 4 foot tall rig.......!
