Thanks. I sort of overdid the pin ends, I get carried away and pinch them a little too much sometimes when heating the shrink. If I do a bunch then I sort of get in a groove, but with just a few I tend to not make the pin ends so pretty all the time.

Alright! Time to shake things up again. PSU is moved to it's new home. It was suggested and I considered moving it to the top pedestal, but in the end I decided not to, at least for now.
I wanted to get the gpu cables out of the way, plus have some space for mounting the D5.
The 24/18/10 ATX cable (not shown in the pic) just barely reaches, I may end up making one a little longer later on. In the meantime I have a bunch of cables to shorten up, mainly the two SATA power cables and the gpu cables.
The D5 is just sitting on the floor of the case until I decide exactly where I want it. Probably angle the flow meter on the case floor over and run it straight to the pump, then 90 out of the pump to the cpu block.

Your picture taking has gotten better and better during the life of this thread. Nice work.

Thanks, I can't tell much difference but I'm glad! Maybe throwing the camera DID help? Just kidding. smile.gif

Oh my. This has progress quite a lot since my last visit to the thread. tongue.gif

Nice going Mandrix!

Btw, on my pump, I'm probably going to cut the molex pins off and crimp it with atx so I can tuck it in the Seasonic 6-pin peripheral.

I have shortened the gpu and SATA power cables for the new psu location. Actually took longer than fabbing new cables from scratch. Also finished up the new, longer cpu 8 pin cable. Anyway I spent quite a bit of time on it but I think most/all of the cabling is ready. Glad to have those formerly long honkin' gpu cables not take up so much room.
Took about a foot off one set, and 7-8 inches off the other one.
Pretty tired right now, I've been working on the cables most of the day. My thumb is pretty sore from the shrinkless sleeving. See? thumb.gif

I'm about ready to start on installing the D5 in the case. Just not tonight. smile.gif

Yah, leave something for tomorrow, eh ? wow, you get so much done so quickly. The new & shortened cables look GREAT ! with that Seasonic, that's as good as it can get.

The 24 pin can be seen and its looking REALLY GREAT ! I think that with all the plumbing, there just isn't any way to align all cables so they look like a woven rug. I think people put too much stock in aligned cabling, plus that reverse ATX knocks a few things out of whack, with the GPUs above the CPU; and the reversal of the board .... on Silverstone RV builds, you can hardly see the 24pin cabling, let alone the 8 pin.
Kinda takes the appeal of sleeved cables away.

I know I'm not the fastest at sleeving, but I didn't think it would take me all day. smile.gif
The SATA power cables to the DVD & HDD cage were real long before, I had to shorten them. The single SSD sitting by itself on the side I just made a new cable for it.
What I did was just clip the long cables off with my snippers with the sleeve still in place, then repin the clipped end, then heat shrink & lighter to melt the sleeve back to the new pins. That wasn't really fun but it saved me using new sleeve. Not really hard, just tedious after a while. Everything was guesstimated by plugging the cables in and marking one where I wanted to cut, then just cutting the rest off about the same length, I didn't measure anything.

I had to reorient most of the cables on the side and it's looking pretty busy back there now compared to before.
But yeah, there is just a lot of cables, not just to the psu but with the led's and Aquaero stuff as well.

I have went through a ton of sleeve on this thing, especially considering the "redo's" where I didn't like something and started over from scratch. I think I ordered altogether 50m each of white and b magic sleeve. Plus white SATA sleeve, plus a little Ti gray sleeve. Later I will estimate what I need for the 24 pin and measure what sleeve I have left to see if it will make it.

The build that never stops. smile.gif

I've come to the conclusion that for what we have in sleeving, pins, and connectors on these big builds, . . . we could have built an entire HTPC with first class components. biggrin.gif
