Thanks! Are you making an offer? smile.gif

Wish I could sell some of the stuff I have laying around. Costs too much to ship stuff unless it's small or unless you have a corporate rate.
I will be selling another motherboard soon. But I have a bunch of stuff that probably wouldn't be worth shipping unless I could unload it all at once.

Unfortunately I'm in a cultural wasteland as far as computers go in this area so selling local is a no go.
Apropos of nothing except being funny, I took some Cisco networking classes with one of the local repair shop owners, he never could pass the course and get certified while I missed half a semester and left half a semester early with certification in hand plus an A+ certification. lol.
Tickles me when I see him advertise being "certified" and all that. Well I guess the A+ is for life but all the other certs have to be renewed every few years.
But anyway I tried to sell some stuff on craigslist and the only response I got was a scammer who sent me check on the "Bank of Huston, Texas".

Yah, I've been leery of selling ... maybe it'd work here at OCN, but I get it that people - legit and otherwise - will reply in a half-hearted fashion, if at all. I hate to say it, but ebay is prolly the way to go with the best possible results. But then, that's if you want to deal with it.

I've found that the best way to sell PC parts is to GIVE parts to local friends, and that happens RARELY. More often than not, I just accumulate parts/pc builds/ coz they're too valuable or too much to give or to sell .... most people are happy with a basic surfer box, which right away rules out expensive motherboards, any kind of video card, never mind any watercooling gear.

I haven't tried OCN market, I qualify on # of reps . . . I do have spare radiators ... hmm.

A lot of people sell stuff successfully here on OCN. It is actually a pretty good place for selling your excess parts IMO. I will actually be selling a bunch of stuff here soon myself. I want to buy a white M8, so I need the funds. biggrin.gif

Yeah, I don't have any problems with selling something here. In fact I sold a motherboard/ram/cpu/cooler combo a while back here at OCN and he seemed very happy with the deal.
It's just that some things aren't worth the cost to ship. For example I have several high end air coolers and odds and ends, put them all together and it might be worthwhile, but otherwise IDK.

So I spent today tearing down and cleaning up my backup rig (Switch 810). My repaired board got to me from Gigabyte, and I installed it and my delidded 3770K in and put everything back together and filled the loop.
I'm pretty happy, my max temps running IBT @ max went from around 88-90 down to high 60's at x45 overclock without any vcore optimization. So say 20+ degrees without optimizing vcore. I'll get er all tuned up tomorrow.

Just for FYI, this rig has a D5, Raystorm, RX360, EX240, push/pull fans on both rads, same as before delidding. I had a very crappy chip heatwise, now it's better than my other 3770K. thumb.gif

Delidding was absolutely easy, no hassle at all. Took me about 30 minutes to open it up and clean all the adhesive holding the IHS to the pcb. Got to be one of the easiest performance mods I've ever done.
I used Coolaboratory Pro liquid TIM between the chip and IHS, and MX4 between the IHS and water block.

Yesterday I had installed the delidded chip in Merlin, but I managed to bend a pin in the cpu socket and decided to just put the stock cpu back in since it was getting late after fixing the socket. Now that I know it works I may swap board and all from the backup into Merlin. thinking.gif

LOL! So that's why people don't respond to half of my posts... guess I need to be more succinct. I type fairly fast (~60wpm) so definitely faster than I can speak most of the time - I tend to write 'forum-novellas' too often and wonder how they got missed when sometimes they have the same thing someone else posted later that got several comments. frown.gif

Silly me, I'm at the office too and thought his post was pretty short. smile.gif
