Currently i'm running a dual monitor setup with as my primary monitor a Samsung T240(1920 x 1200 / 5ms) which is aging well and very happy with it, the problem is the second monitor, its just some old 19'' hp that runs at 1024 x 768, i have grown fond of having a second screen and gotten used to all the info i can have on side while gaming and also the extra work space comes in handy, but 1024 x 768 is becoming really too small so a friend of mine lent me a 1440 x 900 19'' but still it is not enough.
I started to look around to see what prices are 21'' monitors with 1920 x 1080 and found prices quite high (100€ to 150€). which made me think, since i'm going to eventually invest some money to make this dual screen setup better and my actual T240 is starting to age, why not just use that as my secondary monitor and get a new primary monitor.
So I really like the 24'' size in my opinion its the best size, not to big not to small
and have grown quite used to 1920 x 1200 resolution.
So an upgrade would be going to something like LED, 2ms and maybe 120htz if it is really worth it, but if you can convince me otherwise I would like to stick to 1920 x 1200.
what would you guys recommend and what kind of prices will i be looking at, what is the best bang for the buck monitor?
Also the main purpose is gaming, the rest is some vmware work light programming but no image editing or anything in the sort.
Also my current GPU is for sale and will be getting an GTX670
