ok ,i went trough a lot of combo and i came to this conclusion, everytime a standard isnt from a chip maker intel or ibm (to put some name on the table)
everything goes haywire!i tested vga best in term of no lag myes even with the supposed conversion, hdmi came last.there are so many condition that i doubt many are in hd.dp is apple we all know apple dont shy away from interfering with signal ,they havent yet.YET
I HAVE TESTED DVI ,and in my view on the digital front this is the best compromise still.can go to quad hd,been here a long time so its stable and it was cooked by intel (you know the guys that put the cpu in most of our desktop here at overclocker)

am i wrong ?i want to love hdmi and or display port.sadly they are bad in the best of days!too many stuff interfer, like they have rule but hdmi leave breathing room .so you end up with a lot of stuff not working.display port ,copy and paste hmdi and put apple on it and you got the standard(okok vesa lol, same difference)

so my question:am i wrong?is there better then dvi or vga for average user?in term of quality and lag free.quality is there on the dp and hdmi but lag is so awfull on those connection (because of all the control they put )that it make game unplayable)dont get me wrong dvi is the same as the other 2 just slightly less!at least now i know why everybody gaming are on the hunt every week for 1920x1080 23 inch crt!

we should keep record of vga latency vs all digital all analog and hybrid.when we dont we dont have reference and it leave user vulnerable to the industry.

like yes we got 1920x1080p so now we get full hd.nope still cant, why?because any can put the bitrate as low or lower then before lol,so before you had 1280x720i but bitrate was static, now we get the size but not the bitrate lol.so quality didnt go up at all lol!

anyway ty for info about the connection!
