[Kotaku] Resident Evil 6: The Kotaku Review - Page 3

If the PC version is not flawed, runs well, looks good, I shall pick it up in sale if anything. I didn't hate RE5(but I won't say that I like it either) because you could atleast play it properly outside the box rather than RE4 where you have to go mod hunting. My friends & me played RE4 on a PS2, and the moment we saw the co-op feature in RE5 we knew the game was a fail.

Other than that, as MaxWaves stated, this month's money goes to Dishonored for me biggrin.gif
Finally I can use my brain in a game.

Edit:
I changed my opinion. I'm not buying it at all. I'll ask my friend to lend it to me if I'm bored out of my skull otherwise simply no.

Looks like the people have spoken. Not only did it get the lowest score of the series, it's the lowest score for any game this entire year. puke.gif
Not picking up this trainwreck.

I have code veronica for the dreamcast, by far one of the best resident evil games I've ever played. I just love that anxiety of not having enough ammo, sometimes having to run from zombies, using the knife, stumbling around with barely any health, code veronica really felt like you could die at any second, and those dogs scared the crap outta me lol!! I never played RE4, but I played RE5 on xbox 360 and I gotta say it felt nothing like the previous games, it really lacked the puzzle aspects, and ammo was far too abundant, it just felt very watered down. the only way for me to describe the newer resident evil is that it felt very arcade-like, dumbed down, tons of ammo, shoot-em-up, not much of the survival horror puzzle solving games I'm used to.

Looks like the gamespot review confirmed what I thought might happen.

Clunky controls, neverending cinematics, terrible camera angle since 5 things are happening at once. Just a mess of a game sadly.

Just seems like so many games are going this route where the pace is ridiculously fast to the point you have no idea what's happening.

This. Resident Evil has been dead to me for years.... they just keep badly reanimating the corpse. It's really stinking now.

Yah! I been watching YouTube videos of Leon campaign its the only interesting one.. they should split the game so each campaign is 20$ and sell them separate lol ..so sad this isn't even resident evil its more like COD with 3d person view combined with zombie mode and tons of guns explosions and stupid cut scenes.. /rant done thumb.gif

Frown. The first game I played all the way through was RE4. Its one of the best games I have played. Guess I will try RE5 and skip RE6. I think they ported code veronica to PS3, maybe I will grab that (cheap) for some old school goodness.

Oh no, I am so shocked! I can't believe it is getting such terrible reviews, that makes me so sad. I really expected it to get better reviews after they announced they were taking what little Resident Evil aspects the games still had and throwing them out the window. Then running them over with a dump truck...
