If you have found a way to use your CPU for high PhysxX and keep FPS @ 60fps you should chime in here, many people are having problems getting it to work. And I have not seen anyone keep a constant 60fps. http://www.overclock.net/t/1307142/borderlands-2-with-hybrid-physx/80#post_18288427

Go to the willowgames.ini and change physx from 0 to 2. Then it runs off cpu. I get over 60 at all times I just vsync, its an easy game to run on Max

I play BL2 @ 5760x1080 in 3d. With PhysX high FPS can drop to 30fps during intense battles with a lot of PhysX blood spraying around. But my 4-way 670s should be able to keep up with that unless there are some SLI driver issues. Ill try the ini file edit out, thanks.

with your pc, you should enable vsync always and lower msaa to get steady 60fps always

and yes, most human eyes can see more than 20fps, 60, 120fps, except console gamers XD

having vsync with less that 60fps is bad, there will be some kind of stutter, lag, not everyone notices this, but i do, also nvidia created a nice tech adaptive vsync to disable vsync if fps<60, but you are on amd

another good thing about vsync is that gpu is not always on 100%, lower temps, energy, etc

only game i get less than 60 on atm after OC is guild wars 2 which for the life of me I don't think i could get 60fps in lion's arch with max settings if i had 4 7950s, its just too much activity going on. Should I activate v-sync through my ati control panel btw?

No, you should have vsync enabled always, even if you have less than 60 FPS, unless you dislike the extra input lag. Most people are just parroting old information that is no longer valid. Games have changed and I think pretty much all new games released used triple buffering. But if you aren't sure, you can force it via Nvidia/Ati control panel. If MSI afterburner OSD is showing that you are getting 50 FPS with Vsync on, then you ARE getting 50 FPS. There is no half-refresh rate happening with triple buffering.

It's really a matter of screen tearing vs. input lag. Though whatever you do, I'd strongly recommend staying away from adaptive vsync, it's just flawed. Refer to my previous post.
