[Mod Log]-[Amateur] Antec 300 Mod and HEC 63R3BB Mod Logs - Page 9

If your temps are fine I wouldn't put a fan on your window. It will go from looking like plain old budget case, to a cool case, down to a fugly case. Just my opinion though.

I hate it when manufacturers do that!

Good point! My temps are fine although I do think I will re-mesh my front panel and move that ghetto rigged fan towards the front of the bay so it can push fresh air into the case.

BUT!

I got some accent lighting for my case!

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12157/lit-239/NZXT_Premium_Sleeved_Bright_LED_Kit_-_2_Meter_-_Blue_CB-LED20-BU.html?tl=g6c77s1337

Fantastic product and available in all types of lengths and colors. Expansion slot brightness controller and on/off button.

Now it makes me want to sleeve all my cables and fill those RAM slots, lol! I need to tighten up my cable management too. Just having everything through holes in the mobo tray isn't enough. I need to get them neater and possibly sleeved. Also it looks kind of crappy with the glare on the plexiglass, I'll take a nighttime picture later.

Nice! Congrats!

I started cutting up that HEC case you sent me a while back. This is what I have so far...

I painted the interior flat black, modified the front to take a 100mm fan and a 80mm fan in the 5.25" bays while still fitting a DVD-RW above it. I put a window in the side and made openings for 2 92mm intakes. I cut out the mesh in the top and am making another plexiglass window to hold 2 more 92mm exhausts.

Also today I snagged a 500w Antec Earthwatts for $20 in Savannah.

I made a piece of plexiglass for the top that is going to hold 2 92mm fans. It cracked when I was drilling the very last screw hole for the fans. I have to come up with something else. Thicker plexiglass or sheet metal. Ideas are welcome.

I modified the front for those two spare fans I had lying around (see the picture on my previous post). Cut one cable management hole in mobo tray for front panel wires (not enough room between tray and side panel for wires thicker than 1/16"). Painted interior flat black, cut side window, cut top open. I used a Auto door trim molding I picked up at Auto Zone for the windows.

Hehe thanks, my mods aren't that good. Just fun to do. I am itching to do more though.

If mal would send me some cases we could make something happen!
